Even in 6,000-person crowds, there are corners where you're alone. How to find them.

Even on a cruise ship with 6,000 passengers, solitude exists. You just have to know where to look.
Where passengers rarely venture
The forward observation deck at dawn. The library at 3pm. A quiet corner of the pool deck during formal dinner. The crew's exercise room, if you ask nicely. The very top of the ship, where the wind is loud and the view is unobstructed.
Even on big ships, solitude exists.
How to find your spot
Explore during times when most passengers are eating or sleeping. Look for spaces that are not advertised. Talk to crew — they know the quiet corners. Arrive early. Stay late. The ship reveals itself to people who move slowly.
